MADRAS PLAID - PLAID FABRICS - SEERSUCKER - CHECK FABRICS

Handwoven fabric or handloomed fabric, is a handmade fabric, woven on hand-operated looms, using no powered machines, thereby making it a handmade item, unique with it’s own flaws, features and texture.

Hand-looms were the only method of weaving fabric, centuries back, when fabric was woven only by hand-operated looms, and this is a traditional art form, which has been passed on down since centuries.

Today, hand woven fabrics are available as checks or plaid, also known as madras fabric, and also as handwoven stripes and solids.
Madras fabric is now handloomed on a very limited basis, as the bulk of fabric is now loomed on power or automated looms, and this makes handloomed fabric quite costly to produce, and a much desirable item, since you get an almost unique length of fabric.

Great for slow fashion, slow sewing, summery dresses & skirts, and shirts.
